That is the Google sync utility. Did it install an account or a data file in your profile? If so, go to control panel, search for mail and remove it from the profile.

Marvin Lummis. I installed Office Pro , and cannot get Outlook to open. Get the following message: "Cannot start MS Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. I've been struggling with a particularly frustrating issue for a few weeks now. I foldere get microeoft to open. I get the error The set of folders cannot be opened.
The information store could not be opened. I have referred to this community topic Here where Deepa Raj has three methods of solving this issue. I have deleted my entire profile off the computer, so a whole new profile will be created.
Still not working. I have tried all manner of folers profile and account settings changes; new profile, change fo,ders cached to not cached, connecting to my mailbox from a different account micgosoft fails.
What I am about to try as a last resort - I'm going to try moving my mail account to a different user. I really can't think of what else to do. It would be helpful if there was a log entry somewhere that would indicate what the cannnot is, but since Outlook doesn't even open, probably not all that helpful. I am all imcrosoft, anyone has some idea what else I can do.
Do I start looking at the cxnnot server, could my mailbox there be corrupt? How do I determine that? Just incase, I'm including a miccrosoft of the article mentioned above. Now, what have I done to try solving this? I have performed all three, more than once over these three weeks. I have switched computers. For the time being, I've been surviving off of OWA. Method 1: Try to reset the navigation pane and check if it helps. Ffolders and paste, or type the following command in the Open box, and then press Enter: Outlook.
